Day 9 - Break from Shopping
We took a break from shopping today and went to the local temple or matha for a lunch. It was a special religious day so a lot of people were gathered for a ceremony followed by a lunch. A traditional way to eat meals is on a banana leaf like the one below while sitting on the floor.
The food typically includes a rice that is then mixed with various vegtables and lintals. My picture doesn't really do proper justice to the meal - the food is really good.
In the afternoon, we stopped by the Leela Palace - a famous Bangalore hotel. The architecture was amazing and it has a beautiful garden.

Amma's mother was with us today.
